Best power to pledge allegiance for traders?

I am back from my long exploration voyage, managed to get the clipper, and now its time to do some trading. Which power should I pledge allegiance to, to bring me most profits as a trader?

but i think pledging doesn't give more profits, it's just more dangerous cause you're fair game in other territories.

You could try Mahon, he seems to be on the rise, you might get the % trade bonus if he manages to break into top 3. But yes you can take advantage of Torval slave trade without pledging,and since she is dropping in power rapidly you wont lose anything by not pledged.
