Best PVP cutter weapons?

What weapons would work best on a cutter for PVP? Not looking to take advantage of infinite ammo bugs or anything.

I'm almost done outfitting my PVE fleet (mostly efficient burst lasers for pvp - works very well) and was planning on fitting my cutter and python (my two freighters) with some PVP weapons. What are some good bets with this?

I've don't a little PVP in my PVE anaconda with lasers and it actually seemed to work well given the slowness of the ship. I was planning on fitting my cutter with incendiary MC but I'm not sure well they work on a ship as big and slow as a cutter; I see people talking about reverb cascade torpedoes and packhounds too. My cutter will be a big 8primasatic shield tank with 8 boosters (6primsatic when trading) and thermal reactive armor.

Whatever fixed you can hit with? APAs, cannons? Packhounds are pretty good for taking out weapons when their shields are down. Reverb torps, eh, most PvPers probably know how to avoid them. A railgun or 2 with feedback cascade.

You probably want some armor and not the stock bulkheads.

I'm getting the hang of "turning off" gimbals during a fight (hotkey mapped to select next nav point breaks the chaff) so was thinking of still going gimballed on my MCs, if I go with that. Admittedly the DPS is lower though, kind of a trade off, IDK.

You mentioned cannons. I just don't get them - lower DPS than MCs, slower moving so harder to hit at range, AND more severe ammo issues. I want to like them but just can't...is this wrong?

MMMMM feedback cascade rails, great suggestion, I'll mount one of those for sure, they look evil.

Everything is better with railguns.

On the cutter you can put 5 in decent places, wing mounts put some missiles.

Canons are terrific targeting subsystems. Especially with high yield shells. There is also a current cheese meta build with heat cannons (they fixed that for missiles, but apparently it's OK for cannons).

A cutter with dirty drives is pretty speedy, you should be able to keep somewhat close for cannons. If they aren't your thing, try something else :) I've heard good things about long range mod fixed lasers as well.
