Best selenium planets?

I went through the Exigeous guide on farming G4 raw mats and now have maxed out these mats except for selenium. I can trade over to fill up that bucket with the other mats, but I want the option to farm selenium from known geo sites as well. I found a planet with a couple of flat areas and where each crystalline fragment drops selenium (5-8 per location). If I collect these in solo will another cmdr find the same location spent?

You can find selenium quickly just drivin around, no geo sites required, look for mesoderites - single low band on the SRV scanner
theres a good chance to come across metallic meteorites here too

I have that in my notes as well, but I haven't been there recently.

I'll try that thanks!

If you want to know the absolute best planet, just use the “bodies” feature on EDDB. Search by percentage and then scroll down to find one near the bubble.
I did that thanks, but high % does no good when every site is on the side of a cliff, in a deep ravine or scattered among hills. Thus why I'm looking for planets with selenium "flat areas". Even a site on the side of a shallow crater is ok.

Yeppers, that's what i faced as well and left again. No SRV fun rides there, too much hassle.

Short of having maxed out encoded and manufactured as per EDtools , selenium is next.

Have you found any of these areas that actually have selenium? If so, can you point me at them and I'll take a look?

I've never found a geo site with selenium, only ever from prospecting on surfaces. I don't mind rough terrain (even sides of mountains).

So I went on my very first exploration trip and this was my very first undiscovered system. https://www.edsm.net/en/system/id/48441150/name/Oochost+AQ-C+c1-0 , This system has over 200+ geological points of interest and a number of them on selenium planets with many spawns. It was about 2,600 ly out from Sol if I remember correctly so its a bit of a trip, but I feel like this place could be a really good spot for mats (I picked up tons exploring a few geo sites every planet).

A side note, Oochost AQ-C c1-0 AB 1 e / Rocky body (Landable) or Oochost AQ-C c1-0 AB 1 d / Rocky body (Landable) has a mountain so big it juts out into space. Pretty cool, I have a screen shot of it around somewhere I can link if anyones interested, im new to exploring so not so sure how extreme or rare any of these finds are but figured I would share as I have heard selenium spots are hard to come by?

WOLF 587 4EA has geo sites with selenium. Avoid #40 if you want a challenge. Any site in the bottom of a trough will be fun for you.
