Best settings for specifications? Also, input lag in ship (25-50 milliseconds delay) but not on foot?

By default, Elite: Dangerous wasn't using my computers native resolution or refresh rate, so I changed that in settings. The game looks ten times better and even runs better. I am currently on low settings. The specifications or model of computer I have is a GF63 thin 11UC, it's an MSI computer. The main places i get frame drops are sometimes in stations, but around very large ships like in multi crew with a cutter for example. And the worst it gets is on foot when dropping into a surface conflict zone, especially when detaching from the vulture. Other sites like surface settlements or POI's I don't have as large of an issue. It's just surface conflict zones mainly that I see frames get too low.

My question is, is there a way to improve FPS here in settings and is there a way to get the input to ship maneuvering like raw, pitch, roll to respond normally? Something I should add, maybe not on the resolution I have set in game now, it happens much less frequently at least, the input delay will be up to 5 seconds. So, when I move the ship, it will respond later and be un-maneuverable.

Thanks for the help.

with 4gb of vram i dont think so as your already set to low but i would try going form high to low for cause an effect
try starting with a 1920 x1080 rez too
as for 6dof you can change pitch yaw roll to your hearts content in the controls section by simply rebinding unless i have misread what you mean ie via gpu lag which is nothing to do with control bindings settings in saying that you should not get any device input lag with your gpu, have you any background apps running geforce experience shadow play etc etc if so disable or uninstall...... it is an RTX 3050 gpu and this game can run on a far lower series card reasonably well...............
(Morbad may have some advice for you when he's around (he's pretty much the resident techie wizard round these parts)
(recommended vram (gpu ram) is 6 to 12gb) so u are a wee bit shy of the par methinks but still as said it can run on far lower card specs than yours without any device input lag @All and with fps not dropping off to much.......
for a score per month you could be running a 4080 remotely https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce-now/ for the full monty spec but as said your current card should run the game very well indeed as i have had pretty playble perfomance on a low as a nvidia 9 series 970GTX with 0 device lag so something tellls me you have interference from some app or display overlay etc

You could theoretically get the settings down below the Low preset by manually editing the configuration file, but not sure if you really wanna do that...
