best ship builder program to use

Is there a way to import your ship stats from the game into one of these programs that would include modifications>

I don't think that there's a way to export from E: D into an external site, though both sites mentioned here allow you to save the config built there (actually, I think both of them store the config in the URL itself, so you can just store that).

My engineered build above was exported from ED using EDDI. Just a single click

Coriolis is my favorite, especially since they now put the AX weapons and utilities in. EDShipyard's layout is aggressively infuriating.

Greetings,

When setup properly Inara can update your profile from your game status. Inara can even track your mats when Engineering advising what you have or don't have. Note with every ED update the capture data usually changes so Inara has to work out the differences. There will be issues. Such is life. All data can be entered manually. The Coriolis and EdShipyard websites are excellent tools to design your ships (saving you a fortune actually doing it) but I have never looked at Inara to see if they would connect with them. Probably would be more confusing.

I prefer Coriolis EDCD (the original is one guy, the EDCD are many guys/gals) as engineer a Power Plant and they can add every modified data from your ship modules showing you the results. They also update often. They already have the Type-10 listed as well as the latest Xeno weapons and modules. Coriolis EDCD will be probably be the first for the new Chieftain when 'Beyond' goes live.

There are also options if one wants to click on my signature below for seeing my Inara profile...or not. I don't use it much but did this time to show that it works. Inara is a pretty cool place to hang out. One can even link gallery pictures to upload to the Forum as below.

Regards

I'm still an advocate of www.edshipyard.com

I couldn't get used to the layout of Coriolis although i'm sure it's great for new players.

I think this is personal, I actually quite like both, and happy to use either (so if someone posts a link from either, I'm capable of working through the build with no problem.
