Ships Best Ship for Materialfarming?

I use an AspX. It has great SC maneuverability and a decent jump range plus enough internals for collecting all material types:

Space material farming?
Ships with the best supercruise maneuverability and decent jump range - Cobra mk3, DBS, Dolphin, T6 too
Due to excelent cockpit view, T6 is good for planetary stuff too
yes Space.
I Will Farming G5 for Trading G1-4 to make my material camp full.
The same for raw materials and data.
Simply to be prepared if I want to make a build.

The AspX build I posted has long range collectors for grabbing mats from HGEs and an SRV for raw materials harvesting at crystal sites and data scanning at Jameson's crashed Cobra.

The places are well known to me.

I'm currently in Amenta and farming Imperial shields because I've found at least 2 HGEs that have them there.

Viper IV. Great lateral thrusters and an easily accessible cargo hatch. If you have Odyssey, it can double for planetary sites and xenobiology. Just pop a pair of dumbfire missile racks on it.

I use the same setup and it works well. I don't have to go back to my home base to switch from one ship to another when I switch from HGE's to surface prospecting. My Asp also jumps 65+ LY so I can get there in a hurry. It also has 2 point defense modules if I want to pop over and collect some Guardian materials or some Guardian blueprint modules.

My current preference:
  • My Phantom for misc activities in the bubble, HGE, and raw mats on surface. And wake scanning. Good jump range.
  • My Krait MK2 for scooping mfg mats from assasination missions & Haz Rez sites. And wake scanning. Good for PvE combat.

Often switch to other ships for fun. Depends on what I feel like. My Viper IV has been alot of fun lately.

KRAIT MK2 - https://edsy.org/#/L=HE00000H4C0S00...001IM002jwG09G001P0000nF00,KRAIT_0MK_0II_0PvE
Can do anything:
Good Jumprange and SRV for collection of planetary resources (in settlements, crash sites or raw materials)
DSS for scanning planets for POI
Limpet Controller for collecting materials from signal sources in space
Wake Scanner for scanning wakes
Weapons and Shield for fighting in signal sources with hostiles to get materials

Who needs more cargo space may exchange the shield reinforcement with the 32' cargo rack.

You can use PYTHON in a similiar way but with lower boost speed.

Yeah I have found myself coming back to the two Kraits time and time again. I use the Phantom for all my Mat farming on planets, and the Krait 2 for the NPC combat mats, and another Krait 2 for my AX build which lives on my carrier. Plus they both do over 500m/s which is very handy in all aspects of the game.

I hated the look of them when I first played the game, but until you've sampled every other ship, you appreciate the Kraits so much more.

Not edsy-.-
Better coriolis.
Because more practical.

That's my TractOrca. I use it for space material farming only, HGE's etc and (very rarely) some wake scanning. Half the modules are leftovers from other builds, but the aim of it was to build a ship with an extended but time efficient jump range; so long range but able to start FSD charging in a star's orbit while scooping or as quickly as possible after rapid scooping to reduce travel time to systems. Also had to be fast and maneuverable for multiple wake scans (distribution centers) as well as being up against the salvage timer for quit relogging. Limpets for speed/efficient collection rather than manually cargo scooping and enough cargo space for those limpets. Has the V1 Class 5 FSD so jump range is actually 67+Ly's (71 Max).

It could be improved on but I don't use it often enough to bother (ditch the shield for another cargo rack maybe tho I've never ran out of limpets when HGE farming and of course synthesis). When I do use it, it works really well for me; reduces the overall time taken salvaging HGE's and the like compared to other ships I have and could use.

lol FSA Wake Scanner.
If you Jameson Crash Site you can save yourself this scanner.

Yeah, at the time I built it, I wanted to give it a try to see if scanning myself was better than the crash site (it's not). I don't think I've got the scanner on the actual ship anymore.

If you are going to relogski at High Grade Emissions then I don't think you can beat AspX for its supercruise 180 loop turn speed. Mine is

Multi-limpet controller for 4 limpets to quickly hoover up the materials.

I screwed something around the building.
https://s.orbis.zone/lq_3
Modules where it is possible to be lightweight and point defense removed because they would only be necessary for Guardian ruins.
Thus brings a little more jump range
