In your opinion, what is the best ship-launched fighter? I've only just started using these, and my first one is the Imperial Fighter, but all it takes is a single direct hit, and that's it. I do love it's speed and maneuverability, but it comes at a cost for weakness. The F63 Condor is average all around from what I've read, and the Taipan is the strongest, but more sluggish than the others.

What are your opinions? I've added a poll too, just to get an clearer idea.

The Condor looks the best, IMO but I don't like it's terrible maneuvering thrusters.
The Taipan is nice and tough but I'm not as much of a fan of the aesthetics.
The Imp looks great too and has better maneuvering thrusters. I can deal with the spin from clipping a wing.

I'm torn between the Imp and the Condor for favorite but I think the Taipan is probably the most practical.

Taipan seems to be the only one that survives in combat long enough to make a dent. Also because it's the slowest of the bunch it seems your crew has more time to aim and actually fire on target.

The GU97 is the only one that has the speed and acceleration to effectively rely on its maneuverability as a defense against competently flown opponents. The other two fighters are too sluggish for their advantages to matter because ultimately, they're still made of fighter tissue paper, so the extra health doesn't go far if you can avoid getting shot.

Thanks for the votes people! Keep 'em coming!

Know what I've discovered? The crew member is AWFUL as a fighter, but amazing piloting my Keelback!

The Condor, it can maneuver away from most threats, and even if it gets hit, it won't immediately die (save for the rogue C4 PA lucky hit). The GU97 gets hit it dies instantly, and the Taipan is far too easy to hit.
