Best Stations To Use a Wake Scanner At?

Hey guys, I am interested in getting some eccentric hyperspace trajectories and datamined wake exceptions, for G4 and G5 FSD range increase for my ASP Explorer and Python.

I got myself a wake scanner and now wondering what place has the most players and AI to scan with a wake scanner.

Anybody know popular stations where I have a high chance of getting big ships like Anacondas to high wake? I would greatly appreciate it if you know some.

Best Regards,

Do you obtain data when scanning player wakes? I've never seen any myself, nor have I ever received data from a basic scan of a player.

You do. Did most of mine around Jameson Memorial at SD. Enough players around to not make it too soul destroying :)

I am not sure why you need to scan large ships. What I did to get around 50 datamine wake exceptions was go to Met 20, Brady Ring, sit around 7 Km straight line from the letterbox and wait for the NPC ships to arrive and jump out. It doesn't happen instantly but once you've stayed for a while you get a more or less constant flow of ships, most of which jump within 4 Km from where you are. I didn't chase wakes that were more than 6 Km from my position. Took me roughly a couple of days with a few hours of gameplay to collect those datamine wake exceptions.

To not answer the OP's question, if you can be bothered to hunt down a famine system then you can go to the "Distribution Centre" PoI there and there will be lots of ships coming and going.

I found it was much more productive scanning wakes at a nav beacon. I also scanned DWE's a lot more often from authority vessel wakes.
