Community Event / Creation Best Systems for Beginners

Here's a list of why and where they are:
Chamunda, it has some good starter ships, and it's pretty good at giving missions, they're in a boom.
Ra, it combines the Empire with Federation very closely. Good shipyard.
Dagr, it's a great beginner's alliance station with a few intresting stars nearby.
Kini, it's the closest free-for-all system to the starting area.
LHS 3006, it's the first "fancy station" you'll see.
And, those are 5 good starter stations. A bigger list will come out later.

You can do bounty hunting at a high res at Kremain with a lot of help from the security.
It's a decent playce to learn the basics and get money for your first few ships.

CE Bootis

I'm new and have found this system seems good for bounty hunting. Good law enforcement presence so you don't get swamped and I made a quick 500k cr in about 30 minutes....

LHS 20 is great. Main station ~1kls from the main star. Very well stocked outfitting. All types of rez sites for bh (regular, low, high, haz). Material traders and interstellar factors close by. Close to the center of the bubble. And 10% discount on all ships on top of that since it's Li Yong-Rui space :)

I visited a lot of systems over the last 12 months and sooner or later I always came back to LHS 20 :)

I've been home at V2151 Cygni since I started playing, always been quiet and a nice place for trading and passenger missions.

I'm a new guy that still doesn't fully understand how to find good places and get the most money for my time, but I'm in LHS 20 and plan on staying here for a while as I loved the layout too :) glad to know I'm doing something right.

LHS 3505 seems good to me for beginners, it has a High Tech station with 2 haz res nearby, like 50ls.
Good system for bounty hunting, outfitting and trading (since it's high tech).

I was looking for a new home base and saw your post. I packed up the Cobra and 10 jumps later I’ve set up shop at Ohm station. Good looking system so far. Thanks for the advice.

Luyten's Star

Pros:
- Good beginner shipyard
- High security system (average police response is within 1 minute in most cases)
- Plenty to do in system (multiple landables, gas giants with multiple rings, Low-, High-, and Haz-Res)
- Can gain rep with both Federation and Sirius Corp
- Within 30LY of Sol, Sirius, Alpha Centauri (get the mug), as well as several other important systems
- Within 50LY of Interstellar Factors, Guardian Tech Broker, Human Tech Broker, and all 3 types of material traders
- Basic Medicines are a big time export, and there's always a nearby system in outbreak...great for traders...as well, most metals bring a decent profit on import
- No ammonia worlds...thus, decreased chance of bug infestation
- Main station less than 300LS from entry point

Cons:
- Fair distance from early engineers
- Limited selection of medium/large ships and modules for such
- Main station, Ashby City, is SUPER busy with large passenger liners...docking can be a task
- No high metal content landables...some raw materials may be hard to find in system

Don't use Slough Orbital in Vesper M4, its a popular ganking spot, also its a tourist hot spot so loads of large passenger liners coming and going.

I personally very much enjoyed Tollan. Great system for bounty hunting in RES. Spent a lot of time there in my Anaconda working on Federal Navy rank and earning cash fighting.

I've been hovering around the Diaguandri area for ages. The LYR discount really does help you progress faster at the early stage, and in general, if they don't sell it at Diaguandri they sell it somewhere else within 30LY.

It's also close to Ross 591, and with it Popper Terminal (which is about 10 minutes away from the star via Supercruise, IIRC). If you don't mind an hour or so of grind, a couple of data runs from Wolf 1241 to Ross 591 (which is a 20LY trip) can make you a quick million - the payout for each data mission is somewhere around 300k to 400k because of the distance. If you really have to make some fast money, passenger transport from Wolf 1241 to Ross 591 is pretty much always more than a million per mission - a Dolphin is a cheap ship that wil allow you to get a mission that way fairly reliably with a class 5 business cabin.

Furthermore, the Diaguandri area is saturated with Federal factions. You'll be raking in Fed reputation without even realising it.
The only issue is that Diaguandri's extensive outfitting in conjunction with the LYR discount means it's quite popular in general. You might get ganked, although I've rarely had many issues even in Open.
