Best systems for mission material rewards?

Hi cmdrs,
I am after some modified embedded firmware for engineering and would prefer to get it from missions rather than scanning data points at various bases or doing the crashed cobra and x-trading.
Now so far, the only missions I have found offering MEFs are hauling huge amounts of cargo e.g. 6k tonnes for a very small amount of MEFs e.g. 4.
Is there any logic to where these missions appear similar to the logic (although broken) behind HGEs & system state, or is it completely hit & miss and I just need to trawl the bubble?
Or, is there any change in the mission offerings if I become allied with more than 1 faction at a station?

It's such the best place I always write it in CAPS. ROBIGO
In addition, if in a Python out fitted with nothing but full size to fit the class eco cabins. Which without a shields or a fuel scoop but including a autolander, makes for a total of 8 cabins. If one can get an excess of 31.1 ly's per jump. It's only 2 jumps there and two jumps back. And if one is an Animal at grinding, one can make a cool Billion Cr's in as little as 12 straight hours; 14 with a few breaks.

Meh. Think I prefer assassinations to pax missions - same mission rewards but you can also get most other manufactured mats by scooping your enemies. But hey - some like the pax, so I guess it's good to have choices ;)

I'll be happy with either tbh cmdr, as long as I don't have to haul 6 thousand units of x to y, but as you say, the assassination missions do provide the extras.

Are damaged stations still good for it? tl;dr they had heaps of evacuee missions, which have you take them to the rescue ship 1Mm away, and most offered material rewards.

For Raw's I have a ship which gets 62+ ly's, I make two trips to and from 2 distant systems some 1700 ly'ers away and between the six planets I gleen all six of the g4 materials till there compartments are full. Fly 1000 back to the nearest Raw trader and swap all g4 to g1, g2 and g3. Then return to the same two systems and farm the same six planet till the compartments are full. Return to the trader and finish filling to the max all the lower grades. The process fills all of my g1, g2 g3 and leaves me about half of all my g4.

After wards I go to Dav's Hope which is part of the way to Robigo which is where I go after Dav's Hope. At Dav's Hope I make enough rounds to ascertain a minimum of at least 50 heat veins, generally works out to be about 110 round trips at the site. When completed, it on to Robigo where as I have a modified Python sitting. It has 8 passenger cabins and only take two jumps one way to the beacon and two back. Once I've manage to collect all available materials to max, put Python by in dry dock, take my ship and go to the Jameson Crash site. After filling all the compartments go to a trader called Rays Gateway, only 90 ly's, trade down, then repeat until all compartments are full. Once done return home to Jameson memorial and using an extended range wake scanner. Scan wake about almost outside the no fire zone. I can easily pick up more than a hundred in less than an hour.

The whole process of filling all three of the various mat's, Raws, MFG's and data takes about one week of 6 real time play more if ya take breaks. Seems like a lot of time, but comparing it to general forging for the various mats, it 100 times faster. Sure is a lot easier to engineer a variety of mods when ALL of the compartment are full of all the various mats needed.

BTW, the missions you'll want to stack are sightseeing trips from Robigo Mines (outpost, no Large pads) or Hausers Reach (big station, outfitting and shipyard, slightly less lucrative missions) to Sirius Atmospherics, a tourist beacon orbiting a terrafomed planet in the Sothis system.

You don't need more than 16 passengers per cabin, so you don't need size 6 Economy, I'd recommend Business for 6's (as some passengers won't take Economy) and Economy for anything smaller.

Many thanks cmdr, much appreciated.

Many thanks cmdrs,
I can take a hint ... ROBIGO!
I'll be heading over there next weekend.

If it's cr's your interested in, only takes a few hours to get a few hundred million.
If it's mats your after, when you fill your compartment, go to mfg trader and trade down to anything, just get rid of everything you gathered at Robigo. Then go back and repeat it once or twice more. Though Dav's hope is better because it offer's more of a variety. But you get 4 nd 5 at Robigo and only 3 and 4's at Dav's.

Your correct, size 5 is the biggest one needs, I use the biggest (normally size 6's, now 5's) as business class. On occasion they only have business class. But all the rest are eco.

As everyone has stated, only work Robigo Mines. Though the other two offer a lot of missions to the SIrius Beacon, Hauser will scan you and you get sent to prison about 9 jumps away. The other which is an out post have pirates that will interdict ya quite often. In so much as my Python only has 8 cabins and an auto docker, no shields and a modified core as to get 31+ range. One can't really afford to be interdicted.

I've worked Robigo more than a dozen times which seems like a gazillion hours and have never been scanned nor interdicted.
