Best turreted weapons?

I am looking for a perfect turreted weapon for my trading python. I already have 2 medium beam laser turrets and 2 large pulse laser turrets with a gimbaled medium cannon (because it looks awesome) on the nose. I am looking to go all turrets and I have 4 mil cr to buy them. Now the medium beam lasers are great and perfect for what I need but are power hungry so no more beam lasers. I heard frag cannons make great turrets but the lack of ammo and range has me concerned. What do you recommend.

I put a burst turret on top - so I can poop away even when they are above me. And not too much power draw.

It's the only automatic turret I would want tho. You feel you lose control with too many. In its location, it is firing when I can't be making that active decision - so it suits.

Change to 4 beam lasers and 2 multi cannons, all turreted, and you'll have the best combat ship

Only 3 large hard points and 2 medium hard points and no more beam lasers as 2 medium beams is enough. Turreted Multicannons have a bad tendency to fire very small bursts and miss half the time.

Oh, then just try this: two medium beam lasers, two medium multi-cannons and a large beam laser

I used to run two small beam turrets on my Viper, with some gimbled multi-cannons as support. The beams killed everything themselves. Switched to Cobra, and now have medium beam turrets. Nothing last more than a minute now. Don't even use the small hardpoints on the Cobra.

I know the Python is no FDL but why are you going all turrets? I have 4 turrets on my Anaconda, but the thing is large. When I had a Python I did Large Gimballed Beams Lasers x2 and Med Rail Gun x2 and had no issues with anything in a CZ or Res. The last Large hard point I put a Gimballed Pulse in but it was more of a novelty than anything. I really feel like the Python is small enough and maneuverable enough to take advantage of the extra damage that Gimballed weapons provide over turrets.

Also, my trading ships just have a shield... whats the point of having hard points on a ship that is for trading and lacks SCBs???

I'm asking for turrets to provide cover while running so I can protect my 224t of cargo. It's more of this is to heavy for me to be turn fighting and I want cover so I can run but a kill is welcome.

You are a GOD lol

It's pretty easy to avoid fighting.

Also. Turrets are generally worthless because they do about 33% less damage than Gimmballed. Which in turn do 33% less damage than Fixed. No ship in the game actually needs turrets. Learn to fly and you wont have an issue tracking enemies even while flying something like an Anaconda.
