Best way to find a Goliath ?

I've got this mission asking of me to get rid of a Goliath.

Not easy task I know. ( not the first one I kill )

Though so far I've have more difficulty finding the damn thing !

All I have is the name of an outpost on a planet, but the outpost don't have any Goliath.

Thankfully I have 24+ hours to accomplish my mission.

Any ideas ?

Mmh probably on the ground... wait... no, maybe you could look over a planetary landing, let's say around 8km altitude ?! :D Ok I'm ->

Otherwise, you could try re-logging around the settlement ?

they are random spawns around settlements, look for settlements that have skimmers coming out of doors in the ground, skimmers will come out of small doors, goliaths will come out of bigger doors. relog until one spawns.

I found my goliath !

2 to be more precise, I've killed both raming them with my ship.

There is just no other way in the middle of a level 3 secured outpost.

But the mission keeps asking me to kill a Goliath !

Don't tell me that I MUST kill it with an SRV ?

You can kill it with your ship, but you cannot ram it.

You're actually better off to engage it in an SRV though. Yeah, you heard me correctly. The SRV is a veritable tank, and if you've enough materials for a hull repair or three (or a Premium Hull Repair), you'll be close to godlike. I love blasting these things - infiltrate the base, get up on a building, find something to duck behind, and blast them to pieces as they look for you. It couldn't be more fun.
