Best way to setup separate profile for VR and non-VR?

As far as i can tell there is no way to quickly toggle between VR and non-VR mode (if i am wrong please let me know But i was thinking that perhaps the settings such as which screen to use, what resolution, and whether to use VR mode was something that is stored in a settings file somewhere? If so could someone point me to it, because then ill simply have separate copies of that. I do play almost 100% in VR, but some trade route planning etc is better without the Rift.

Think its this file.
C:\Users\<Your Username>\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Graphics\DisplaySettings.xml
Its a hidden folder so "show hidden folders"

You can also use VirtualDesktop its a great tool that makes youre desktop very comfortable.... with the ruft.

Try Elite Display Switcher. It's pretty much designed for switching between VR and non-VR. It will even change your HUD colors to make it easier to read in the DK2, and even your control binds (say, so you can use a HAT for POV).

Hi

Whilst it is not a priority right now, I do hope this switching is built into the game properly at some point, without having to save and exit... (ideally automatically when set up).

Since getting my rift last July I have never played elite on a monitor, and never plan to whilst in a vehicle, however I do struggle in the 1st person on foot experiences (so HL2, and retro arcade for instance) I tend to get VR nausea quite quickly. Ideally I would like to be able to auto switch between VR when in a vehicle and on monitor when on foot.

Hopefully this sort of functionality will be on the "to do" list going forward.
