Best way to strip off weapons?

so what is the best way to strip off an enemy's weapons without killing their hull?

Missiles or flechette or pack-hounds?
And what mod would be best for it?

Packhounds work really well, no particular mod needed, I just use high capacity mod, for extra boom boom.

Never used flechette though.

Yes missiles are great for external modules, almost impossible to miss.
