The new forum has taken a bunch of people by surprise - especially those who were old hands on the threadnought(s).
I don't want to start a discussion as to whether that's a good thing, I think it's best to accept it - recognise that getting a whole new sub forum is actually quite a big deal - and then find the best way to make it work.
Now, Oz's stickies, I think, hit the right spot - but I think one of them should act as a funnel for the rest. So I think the breaking news FP should link to the other stickies on this forum, and each of those should then have their FPs updated occasionally with links to other threads of interest.
For example - GluttonyFang's excellent 'How to Solo a Thargoid' thread should be linked from the 'Thargoid Interactions' sticky.
Finally, I wonder if this forum should have a notice, like some of the others, at the top of the page which hard-links to the breaking news FP again as a suggested place for people to start.
Any other thoughts?
