So far every time there is a new build (PB1 - PB2) They wipe out everything BUT the credits you've acquired. This includes the kills...

We don't know. As game is quite balanced, it might be that stats and money is not wiped, and only clean slate is that you have to rebuy ship and weapons (most likely). We will know soon enough.
Well Maybe I got screwed then.
And the ship get's 'sold' and the credits go back to your bank... at least for me anyways
Now I'm not so sure I can't wait... no really. I'm VERY impatient

.....surely just reset your reputation and put you back to a basic ship, but leave all your credits as is?
Then those that want to be killers can re-invest in killing machines and those that want to be traders/explorers can buy the required ship types that they need.
Resetting the credits to Zero would just waste time because everyone would have to grind back up to be able to exercise all the new stuff properly, and I would have thought that they would want that exercised ASAP.
Now Gamma would probably be different as it implies a new major influx of players and the playing field might need to be levelled so they are not annihilated from the outset.
