Beta Backers rewards? (WARNING RANT!)

As a Beta backer for the game I had to pay full price for the game. I also paid for the life time expansion pass, that is meant to give me updates for free.
But If I was to buy the game now. It has 33% off and I would start the game with my Sidewinder and free Eagle.
So except for the early access what benefit did I get from paying over double what you pay now?

I was led to believe there would be bonuses coming for Alpha and beta backers? What are they?

Where is the free ship? The founders Decal? Why can I not do missions that req founder?

I am not seeing the benefits of the extra cash I laid out for the game. Not now the Xbox people are asking for free stuff and extras for early access.

Am I the only one who feels like we where sold short....dare I say ripped off?

Dont get me wrong I have been playing the game a lot and LOVE it.

I just dont see what my extra money got me? Was it just for early access seeing as you can now buy the game for under £25 when I paid over £50?

Yes

Edit: Just to say I paid full price on release. I realise others may feel differently, but it doesn't bother me in the slightest that it's now on sale. I've had more than my money's worth out of ED, and to be honest I'd be surprised if there wasn't the occasional sale given it's been out for 6 months now.

The Founders benefits are now all in game including the decal but you had to back at Founders level to gain access to those items and that was at the £150 level in the Kickstarter. The game has been out 7 months now and is on sale which I think is reasonable, as you say Beta access got you earlier access than waiting until now would have done.

6 month old game in discount shocker

are you really surprised? Happens with just about every game. Founders decals are in as far as I know. You won't get a freagle if you buy know (I know as I just bought a second copy, at full price, not that I am ranting about it).

All in all bit of a bizarre rant sorry!

The backers decal should be available to you - IIRC its the planet with a ring round it.

The other digital stuff was release a while ago and is available through the official store.

Im not sure someone who bought the game and started now would get the free Eagle.

From what I can work out, the only backers things that havent been delivered are the "one of 5 free ships" and the digital art book.

Backers also still get beta access to updates.

One does not get a Founder's decal and missions, unless you are a Founder. Pledged £150+.

And they have been delivered. I have the decal and I can see the missions in game.

uuhm...which decal WAS the Founder decal?

Was it the Planet one?

There was a decal available at the $5 price Tier, everyone who backed at least $5 on Kickstarter got that decal.

The $150 tier allows players to begin a new save in the Founders World.

The Founder's decal is not the planet decal. It is a Elite Phoenix with founder written below it.

Ok so I guess I just paid to get early access and a discount on insurance.
I guess the lifetime expansion pass will pay for itself when the PAID expansions come out (Seeing as this is a game in development that may be some time off!)

You are correct. Just pointing out that all Kickstarter backers got a decal, as there is confusion over the fact there is actually two decals. A lot of people think there is only one.

The only decal I have as far as I know is the skull one. But I think that is from the Mercenary pack?
Do beta backers not get a decal then? Only Alpha?

I am asking to remove confusion.

As far as I'm aware there were 3 possible decals:

£5 Kickstarter decal (this is the planet)

£150 Kickstarter decal (this is the Founder one)

Mercenary pack decal (this is the skull)

Yes you are right! There were add ons during the KS that you could purchase as a separate thing.

Think this explaines it. I only got the STANDARD beta.
Guess I only get the discount insurance then.

(Just seeing as the game is now £26.79) - Seems a little off.
