None of those buffaloes are water buffaloes. All African.

I love its inclusion. We needed a bovid! Also, big five now 60% complete.

Gemsbok are amongst the most beautiful antilopes, and one of the most iconic as well.
They would go very well with springboks as both are from the Kalahari.

Also I love that we already got to see what the babies look like

The African species roster is getting bigger and bigger. We're gonna be able to build huge African themed zoos.
Now, if we could just get meerkat, gelada, bongo, white/black rhino and some birds, we're all set on that continent!

Something that is easily overlooked is there are technically "two buffalo" species shown off. There is the Asian Water Buffalo (note the longer, straighter horns) and the African Cape Buffalo (the smaller fatter horns). I think people keep saying "We have water buffalo" in the game but there are really three animals (the Gemsbok, Asian Water Buffalo and Cape Buffalo) confirmed in this video.

I don't think this is the case actually. The two buffalo they've shown off are too similar to be two different species. If they are two different species.. that's really not a good thing, as they are practically the same animals.

They are indeed both African, neither of those buffalo are water buffalo.
