[Beta] Will blueprints created in the Beta be accessible in the final game?

We learned that neither a career started in the Beta can be continued in the final game nor can a free zoo. And this is fine and was to be expected.

Now I am wondering: Is this also true for blueprints created in the Beta? They are not related to animals or gameplay additions that might be implemented after the Beta after all, but should be separated entities.
I guess it comes down to the question, whether or not all building items are already in the Beta or how the ID system of those pieces is organized, if more items are added after the Beta.

Anyhow, I would love to be able to at least save some of my Beta creations and use them in the final game.

I don't remember where, it may have been a stream from gamescom or an answer on this forum somewhere (or I'm misremembering) but I have a memory of them saying steam workshop won't be enabled for the beta. Definitely don't take that as confirmation!

I think you are correct regarding the Steam workshop. I remember this, too.

How do those blueprints work, though? Is the workshop mandatory for their use? Or is it also possible to store blueprints locally, if I don’t want to make them public?
Please forgive my probably dumb question. Neither do I own Planet Coaster nor have I ever published something at Steam WS for other games.

The workshop is mandatory for sharing them. For making them, you just need the game and imagination. :)

Great! This is, what I was hoping for. :)

At least, it grants one of the prerequisites for my question in the OP.
Unfortunately, however, it doesn’t answer it positively, as a general incoherency is still possible. I am afraid, we need an “official” to answer this.

Well, that is always the case. Unless a dev specifically tells, we can just speculate.

That being said - my specualtion is "no"
Most betas for frontier games were separate builds with one exception - Planet Coaster. All other Betas were "What happens in beta, stays in beta.
Planet Coaster was a special case as the beta phase shifted smoothly into full release and you could just keep playing.

But in PZ's case there is a month of development between the end of the beta and launch, so I don't expect they are going to want to go to the extra trouble of preserving our data.

But again - who knows. (that's rhetorical, I know exactly who knows, but they're not gonna tell.)

The location of the blueprints on your disc might still be easily distuinguishable from the rest, maybe even in a folder called blueprints. So I would argue it doesn't hurt to make a backup of them on your own. With some luck those files are still working with release of the game and will be saved this way. (?)
