Betelgeuse, Betelgeuse, Betelgeuse

Went for a quick trip out to Betelgeuse. Screenshot of Betelgeuse and Barnard's loop from Betelgeuse 4.

It's awesome out there! Did you manage to get close enough to the innermost planet to scan it? I was taking massive heat damage before I even got near it :)

If you pinpoint Betelgeuse in the night sky it twinkles through a number of colours. From what I remember from my six form astronomy modules its estimated it will supernova sometime in the next 100 years or so.

This rendition just looks like any other main sequence star, I'm a little disappointed.

Yes managed to scan it and didn't take too much damage. Have to line up planet with the centre of the star. If you come in at an angle you cook. Metal Rich planet.
