Betrayed by my x 52 pro

Just a quick question, I bought an x52 pro a few weeks ago from amazon and have been using it in the alpha combat build today the primary for button (button one) stopped working. It's definatly a hardware issue and not a software conflict, so to the question. Is this a common problem or did I get unlucky. Should I replace with another Pro or get a refund and try another flight stick?

As always thanks in advance.

If you bought it from Amazon, I suggest you ask for a replacement. I had mine also bought from Amazon and sent it it back for a replacement at no extra charge for the exact same reason as you (trigger was DOA). The replacement now works as intended, and I hope it lasts me as long as my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro.

If it has truly failed, as in it doesn't register operations in the driver, pack it up and send it back for refund or replacement.

In the months I've had mine, no problems. Was expecting GF's to arrive today but now UPS says it'll be next week :(

I bought mine cheap, it was new but a "second" with problems, when it arrived it had exactly that problem. I took it apart and basically gently bent and twisted the innards of the trigger till it started to register in the software.
Put it back together and it's been fine since, I think it must be a manufacturing fault, the trigger doesn't "make a connection" I can't remember exactly what I twisted to make it work as it was almost a year ago but I do remember it wasn't a difficult fix.

Hardest part was dismantling and reassembly...

I've had my X52 Pro for several years, and it doesn't have this or any other problems. I would say luck if the draw.

I am gonna figure that would also void my warranty..........

Yeah I would say so, I bought mine for £35 from an Ebay seller selling "seconds" each had a problem but you don't know what problem till you get it. Obviously with this deal there was no warranty so I felt secure in taking it to bits to fix it.

If you pay full price for a stick and something doesn't work then first course of action is to return it, I only re-iterate my experience here as "dodgy trigger" on X52s seems to be common on an internet search and I just wanted to show that if all else fails, it's a real easy fix.

Quite a few people have mentioned this, where their new X52 pro has either arrived with a fault or developed one soon after. As other posters have said, it sounds like a manufacturing fault with one or more batches.

I find it a bit alarming that this is still happening though, as these problems were reported at least 6 months ago.

I went for the cheaper Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas X, but am planning to upgrade to a Saitek stick later. These reports do not inspire though.
