So, I was thinking it would be good if you split large systems, or make frameshift acceleration speed faster at higher speeds. Like those above 200c.
I saw all of this because of LHS 1230
I made the mistake of going to LHS 1230, Drebbel City thinking it would be good. The system has 2 stars. You come out of frameshift at the first one. But the only ports are at the second star. The problem is that they are 323,000ls away. Compared to most systems where 200ls to 8,000ls is normal, this was nuts.
Basically there needs to be a game mechanic that either makes it easier to get to these distant objects within a system, or it needs to be more rewarding to get to them, otherwise players don't really have a reason to go to these.
Simply put, why spend 10 minutes in frameshift to go to a port, when you could go to a port 6 systems away in the same amount of time?
