When talking about stars location, it's not about geographical location on the map, it's more about what you are seeing when you are in space.
For example, when looking in space, you are seeing multiple stars and it's ok, but when travelling in Hyperspace, that's different.
In hyperspace, even if you are just travelling 4 LY from one star to another, you will see other stars passing by or nebula. That's all wrong since there is just nothing between my current location and the other star.
I could be great to see a realistic hyperspace where you can see some effects of moving fast (small light passing by, but no stars or nebula) and see the star you want to reach becoming closer until it's bigger and make you stop your hyperspace...
Maybe I'm all wrong with this, but whatever.

PS: Maybe it will never be possible since Hyperspace is in fact a loading screen... I saw some people trying to go from one star to another one in Supercruise, but there is nothing at the star location.
