Better use of internal storage spaces

My suggestion is for making better use of internal storage spaces, for example, in a class 2 space, I'd like to be able to put 2 class 1 devices, most likely the discovery scanner and the surface scanner. Or in a class 4, put a class 2 and 2 class 1s.

If that's seen as too much of an advantage, perhaps some of the space would have to be used for an adapter, so, in a class 3 space, you buy an adapter (class 3) to allow you to store 2 class 1s. A class 4 adapter could allow 3 1s or a 2 and a 1.

Probably difficult to implement, plus I get the feeling it was designed that way for a reason, probably to stop us putting too much stuff in our ships.

I think this should be doable, but require you to visit someone who can do ship hull mods.

You're probably right. I think there's a reason we have this system and not the payload system in FE2/FFE.
