better views from front windscreen

CAN We PLEASE have bettter windscreen for ships.... the ASp windscreen in terrible. toward top right/angle.OK I know it a 2 man ship but that big metal panel in the way .( top right angle).
we live in age when cars have regulations for the front poles/pillers are so they do not obscure view for driver.. surely this would be some kind of inforcement ,for safety, in the future .
. I understand ship design is based on cars... If hauler is based on Transit vans, at least transit vans have better vision to see outside..so PLEASE make changes to windows --make bigger--Is very hard to dock the asp without the "dot" on the screen.

Haven't tried the Asp yet, but I wonder if full 6DOF Track IR implentation in ED would sort most of the visibility problems. If you had Track IR, you could lean forward in the cockpit and look up. Does anyone know if there any word yet from FD about running out 6DOF?

Sounds like the OP needs Virtual reality or head tracking. Devs please don't change a thing, it looks and feels awesome VR

Ya, I don't understand the Asp complaint... it has one of the best cockpit views in the game.

The hauler is a bit limited... but, if everything had perfect cockpit views it would take away from the excitement of trading up a bit.

I'm an Asp owner myself and I find the cockpit view of the Asp to be the best I had the pleasure of flying so far. Maybe your experience has something to do with screen resolution, gamma or field of view?

A screenshot of that "big metal panel" would help.

eerrmm nope.. using DK2 as well. i'll screen grab next time.. ( busy today with real world problems...:) ).

or has it changed , cause using it in new beta2.....

I wonder what happened to the dash board toys ( the hula dancing girl . )for the sidewinder? are they still there?
