Haha, you make a good point about the method of murder. I'd have dropped a T9 on him from orbit for that personal touch

Posted this on another thread but its quite relevant so Im going to re-post :

To be honest lets just all agree that this was so obvious from the start I could have placed a bet:

Patreus + Aisling Vs. Lavigny + Torval

Splits into powerplay factions:
Empire A) 2 powerplay figures
Empire B) 2 powerplay figures
Federation) 2 powerplay figures
Alliance) 1 powerplay figure
Independent) 3 powerplay figures

It all fits nice and neatly and was clear the second the Emperor was not featured amongst the PP figures. We all knew both he and the Federation President & VP were gone.


In my personal opinion the players will determine to what extent Empire A and B conflict each other, although I expect community goals to ensure there is plenty of fighting with Patreus etc even bringing in non-imperial CMDR's to fight for them. Add in a Federation Vs Alliance/Independent war over onionheads and other things and the universe gets put into a nice old mess ready for the Thargoids to blast in when 2.0 arrives (And that's not idle fact it's cold hard speculation!)
