Beyond Allied status

I am now Allied, or Friendly with all factions in one system after a large number of missions to keep them happy, as well as being Friendly with the Federation main faction.

I assume that it is not currently possible to go beyond Allied status unless someone knows differently, but I was thinking it might be good to have further levels of allegiance to either the local factions or the main ones. These might be something like "trusted", "trade partner", "faction member", "associate" etc. These higher levels of friendship would give correspondingly better rewards and missions. I was wondering what people think. (Sorry if this idea has been mentioned before)

Faction rep already does impact mission rewards. The higher your faction rep, the higher the mission rewards.

It seems like you're asking for a greater number of ranks because you achieved allied too quickly?

Exactly. It seems (relatively) easy to achieve Allied status, at least with local factions, so this could give players more difficult goals to aim for which always keeps people interested I think. Higher ranks could give greater rewards in other ways too such as system permits and better ships or equipment levels.
