BGS Borked/Information?

Are we going to get any official word on whats going on with the BGS? ... It appears to be a bit borked but there are so many other variables that we do not quite understand/know about yet. It would be nice to at least get a little something official from Fdev even if its a "hey we dont know either" which it honestly what im expecting at this point (no offense intended Fdev).
 
yes totally agree, they should at least say we are aware of problems with the BGS. I can tell you for sure that lots for normal supporting actions you would take for your faction is clearly benefiting the opposing factions instead. And no this is not because of any changes made, this is clearly something broken in the background. (I do oknow what I'm doing with BGS)
The only way we was able to stabilise our area of space was to stop taking any missions for any of the factions lol since then we have stopped dropping influence in several systems.
Just hope they fix this BEFORE the Christmas break :(
 
The devs have acknowledged that some BGS actions aren't producing the results they expected.

If you think there's a bug in some aspect of the BGS, the best thing to do is to report it wwith as much information as possible, such as log files showing actions that generate an input, along with screenshots of the actual influence/state results.
 
It does seem we're seeing new and unexpected features that may have affected the BGS in ways that we couldn't have expected, and that there are new emergent mechanics which are strategically interesting. Certainly there have been bugs that are getting easier to identify, but these can get hotfixed.
 
Really FD need to supply us with a crib sheet of actions like they did before, so at least we have some form of baseline to compare with. If they don't, FD will be flooded with complaints / bug reports and just generate frustration because its impossible to test or plan anything currently.
