Horizons BGS percentage?

I have been studying Google threads about the BGS. (And my eyes are on fire)
The threads mention influence percentages, but what I want to know is :
How does one check influence percentages in game? There must be something to see?

I guess that trading to a controlling faction ( several thousand credits profit spread over several different commodities ) has no effect on the influence percentage.
Maybe the Googled info is irrelevant now.

It depends on the population of the system ... large systems are hard to move.

You can check the influence in a few places: the system map, the Status tab of your right hand menu (one of the subpages), and in the station there is an overview among the messages you get. You can also see their rough influence when you select them in the missions-menu, top right but no numbers there.

Hey Mike! Welcome to my world! As the Commissar for the Imperial Privateers this is my bread and butter. Best place to start if you have not already is https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=193064
Very friendly and helpful people there too.
As Craith said there are lots of tricks and tips to moving it, ask away my friend.

Hello Marcus. Happy New Year!
That link was one of the ones I found on Google.
I think that was what gave me the idea to ask about a percentage. Okay, I found that on the system map, the controlling faction (Paladin Consortium) is 59.6%
using what little understanding my sad brain gleaned, I had hoped to see at least a 0 point something change when I did the many commodities trade run. No such luck.

I'm going to play and check back here with an edit for you to see the details of the situation. I know I should read about it, but I have a problem, a cognitive one. I usually need to be led by the nose.

Oh, and my friend rrobes, El_Capitan17, has invited me to join Paladin consortium. Hope they are not your enemies. :D

Ok I will number them so I do not get lost.
1. Happy new year to you too!
2. Trade pushes up the percentage (double in boom)
3. The percentage only changes with the "tick" see https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/232075-Tracking-the-Tick (it was around 11am OZ time )
4. As Craith said the population numbers mean every thing so try their system of pachamama as it only has 2000 people in it. https://inara.cz/galaxy-starsystem/18683/
5. A solo commander will easily be able to move the influence there with just and hour or so of missions and trade.
6. See the mission board for the influence + with each mission as some are big and some are small
7. Some people swear by doing a little bit of everything to max the influence boost, a bit of trade, missions, bounties etc...
8. The state that the system is in will effect everything, so trade will not work in a war, etc (this can be used to your advantage)
9. FD have said in one of their live streams that you get a wing bonus for your actions so wing up if you can!
10. You could have had other pilots working against you, so that is why you did not see the change. Look at the station traffic report for a guess at what is happening.
11. As we all share one galaxy , then it can be some kid on his xbox somewhere who is out grinding you doing missions for cash.
12. The Paladin Consortium is big so they might have enemies who are undermining that system.
13. We are not at war with the Paladin Consortium and I am sure we could get along if our two factions ever meet up. We have peace treaties with other groups.

Anyway, that is all I can think of for now... you have taken your first step into a larger world....

Try pachamama as it only has 2000 people in it. https://inara.cz/galaxy-starsystem/18683/
or Isis if you want a large landing pad. https://inara.cz/galaxy-starsystem/18711/

Our home system is over 2 billion and it takes a wing of 4 all night to move it 2%

ps. Higher the percentage the harder it is to move....

1.7 billion. (I hate corvettes. I love my Python!) It can kill an NPC corvette. Don't know if I have seen one yet. :D:D:D

Wow! Big edit. A Federal Corvette just interdicted me. Yeah ..... No! I trashed him!
