BGS question, back to back expansions?

Once a minor faction enters expansion, does it cause it to lose a lot of influence? If not, is it possible to trigger back to back expansions?

You lose some influence during the expansion, but if you could get it up to 75% in the first place you can keep pushing it a bit during the expansion so your net loss is zero, and continue to meet requirements for another one.

The "recovering" for expansion lasts a few days, as does the "pending", so there's a limit to how close you can pack them together. Looks like 7 days non-expansion between the two expansions is the minimum, and can't easily be shortened.

You can however shorten the expansion itself by interrupting it with a War or Election - that can then take (best case) 0 days rather than the usual 5 or 6. Of course, you then have to conclude the conflict before you can do much of anything else.

You lose 15% influence.

That could be a lot or nothing depending on the system. The higher population the system has, the harder it is to move back up. Generally anything below 100M, the 15% loss you suffered should be 1-3 days worth of effort to get back to 75%.

Now...when you break the point where you enter systems with billions of population, it will take longer than that.
