BGS update released

Major BGS update over in the news forum for those who don't normally check there, effective immediately.
- lots of rebalancing
- lots of explanation about some of the things we've been seeing
- extremely significant changes to how conflicts work (be prepared to answer questions of an "I did X but Y happened instead of Z" nature for the next few weeks)
-- length can now be truncated with an overwhelming victory
-- internal counting of actions towards the result is *not* just redirected influence
-- assetless conflicts impossible
-- and more...

What do you think it means ?

It seems that the old "victory points" were actually influence points (even though all missions undertaken under War nominally offered no reported influence points). Now, there's a new (presumably secret) Victory Points counter, which is theoretically disconnected from all other points counters (Rep, Inf, etc). It will allow them to tweak how wars are won/lost without screwing up non-war BGS actions.

Today, the actual CZ is based on of number of point won. Meaning each ships killed are giving you points. And of course, depending of low, medium, high, the number of points needed is different.
