Ships Bi-Weave shields are not glowing purple when struck in combat.

I realized by some strange thought that I could not remember the last time I saw a Ship's shields glow purple in combat. I decided to watch my own ship which has 7C Bi-weaves get hit by a hostile, via the external camera. Lo and Behold, they did not glow purple when struck by enemy fire. Did FDev decide not to have purple shields anymore or is this just another bug that has returned from ages past.?

I noticed a while ago - don't remember when - that, while prismatics still glow green when struck, bi-weaves don't glow purple anymore. I'd put my money on a bug, and one that's probably not getting fixed anytime soon, because it has little impact.
