Big black rectangle patch on planet surface...

So, I'm sure some of you know what I'm talking about... as you approach a planet, there's this big black rectangle/square patch on the planet surface.... many of us just dismiss it as a "texture bug"...

Well.... I got up close and personal with one of those

Sadly, this is as old as Horizons, Horizons beta even, and reported many times since then. Not even sure we have gotten an official answer to it
