See you there!

Go get 'em boys!

P.S. sending my apologies for not being there in advance but will be down the Cider Tap outside Euston station with a fellow commander (or two?).

Argh!

Christ! What will I do all tomorrow afternoon now I don't have to look for announcement threads here and on Twitter all afternoon :)

So how long have the Dev's spent engineering their ships for the task? Or have you guys used dev commands to have a stock of stuff?
Either way I'll have a watch tomorrow night.

Oh!

For a minute there I thought that you were going to be hunting the other types of bugs in the game!

Thanks for posting this. I would have missed it otherwise.

If they really started at the beginning to get the real player experience (no Engineers unlocked, no materials, etc.) and they manage to completely engineer their ships and unlock all Guardian tech, I'm inclined to call shenanigans. Maybe that would be doable within a week, but I doubt Ed and Will have been playing 24/7.

A good rule of thumb for Fdev would be.
That if something is too boring to do on livestream, so they use Dev Tools, then its too boring for players to do also.

I get the sentiment, but it's not completely true. I think it's perfectly fine if some goals in the game are nor achievable within an hour. That's the limit for a livestream though.

Yeah, I get that when it comes to travel. For example, going from bubble to Maia on live stream is quite pointless. But engineering a ship or getting Guardian modules - that's actual gameplay, one of the major elements of fighting the Thargoids. They did say however they would acquire the modules in a normal way, not devhack them in, which is great.

I'm looking forward to it! Not in a malicious way either, but because I've never done it myself (yet), so it will be good to learn how to do it.

Not sure I agree with that actually (at least for the FD livestream). I think it's fine for someone like helloitskolo to stream their gameplay (including heading out to gather materials for engineering) in real-time but for the FD streams (which are less regular and often have a specific agenda) I think it's fine for them to take some shortcuts as they see appropriate without in any way implying that the gameplay they're skipping over is broken in some way.

The first 20-30 minutes of the livestream was really good...

The rest was just a pancake, because of the RNG that ED relies on way too much.

Thanks Ed and Will. You've encouraged me to log back in to Elite again with your stream last night. I did some wing missions with my friends and made 200 million last night - which actually gave me new motivation to play the game again.

Back on it now - thanks to you in the first place :)
