I watched the last 20-30mins or so live, this being something I was interested to see done from the perspective of someone new to hunting Thargoid Interceptors. Despite the outcome, for me the biggest frustration was the lack of preparation, with Will even having to check his control scheme and struggling with the very basics of controlling his ship as a result. I don't understand this at all, both Ed and Will are not new to the streams, both are good pilots (I've seen them fly when they have everything set up) and both of them should have their own control schemes on the hardware they have in the office, right? Ed is very comfortable (and experienced) using the Xbox controller so he is less affected but Will seems to prefer something else (HOTAS or keyboard and mouse?) so why not use what you prefer and spend a few minutes outside the valuable stream time making sure it's set up for you? Thargoid combat is one of the toughest PvE challenges in the entire game, so why make things unnecessarily hard on yourselves?
.
A constructive suggestion: since the 'Bug Hunts' are to be a regular series, why not spend a couple of minutes at the start of each episode discussing what you learned from the previous one and what changes have you made to your ships/approach as a result? For example, Ed took a while to bring down the Marauders he fought (though for an unengineered ship I think he did a very respectable job), so would it have helped to switch to using gimballed rather than fixed weapons (or turreted AX weapons)? Do you want to focus on stronger shields or armour or run a hybrid build? Are you happy with the effectiveness of the AX weapons or do you want to spend time getting other weapons from Tech Brokers? Do you need more practice with the timing of the shutdown field neutraliser or flak launchers? Do you want to wing up with each other, using NPC fighter pilots, or multicrew for a fighter pilot (and maybe gunner, who could control turreted AX weapons)? Have you an engineered loadout that you are aiming for and do you know what materials etc. you need to get all the modifications made (including unlocking Engineers and getting System Permits and superpower ranks to reach them)?

Good luck with future streams, o7
