Big Rank Jump?????

Finally the Gods of the Universe were kind to me and dropped a Rank Progression mission. I had been stuck on 100% for a couple of hours playing time and allied with the main faction for about half that. And no, this isn't a thread bragging about being promoted lol When I claimed that all important mission, the promotion came through and I saw I was already 14% on the next level, I already knew you continued to accrue points of course.

Question is: Has anyone finally got that Rank Mission pop up and upon completion, jumped more than one rank?

Just curious as I could see a Commander have to wait a while if he isn't allied with the right faction etc. for the Rank mission to finally appear.

I had about 7 ranks stacked (from recruit). After each rank mission I went up a rank and remained at 100% until finally at Lieutenant, I'm at about 27%. So no, I don't think you can go up more than 1 rank no matter how much you've "stored up".

No, ranking mission always raises the rank by one.
And if you stack several ranking missions at once, only the first one raises your rank. For ranking again, you have to pick up another mission AFTER you've ranked up.

Thanks Commanders (rep to both of course), that is what I thought was the case as it would seem illogical any other way.

Of course it will be interesting to see if they introduce Alliance ranks in Beyond and how they handle it, especially if the system has kept track of what you have done Alliance wise. Could end up just rapid promotions every rank mission for some.

Anyone who was properly hammering Quince would have seen this. I went from Duke to King 100% (via Prince of course) in a few minutes!

It's just silly, usually by the time I hear about these places they're more or less burned.

The missions you complete increase your rank after 100% if you don't do a the separate promotion mission soon after. It's possible to have 500% or more, but it will only show as 100%. When you complete your promotion mission, 100% is subtracted, so you could immediately see 100% of the next rank before completing any more missions.

They used to show promotion missions as exactly that. Now, they hide them within the normal missions with names that don't stand out, so it's easy to miss them. I did 100s of ranking missions before I discovered tha they changed the descriptions, so I got ranked up really quickly after that.
