I had headed to 109 Piscium to pick up a discounted FDL before 1.5 drops and its gets a lovely buff. Fitted a fuel scoop as usual, then left the station and all was going well until I was 2 jumps out from a scoopable star. Realised I was in danger of running out of fuel, so I replotted a course to a star that according to the map was M class and therefore scoopable. The map lied! I got to the station and I am sure I only looked at the throttle before the FDL farted and 6 tons of fuel fell out its balloon knot!
I powered everything down and called on the Fuel Rats for the first time ever and wow, I was impressed. Not only did I have a dispatcher asking me if I needed fuel before I had finished typing my location, but within 2 minutes, I had 2 fuel rats staring at my cold body sitting in my Remlock suit reading a gentlemans magazine!
Not only were they quick, but they were incredibly friendly too. So, here I am writing this with my FDL parked up for the night in my home station and all without seeing the insurance screen.
I really can't recommend the service enough, and I would like to extend a personal thank you to CMDR CookieHole and CMDR Cyber-KN who saved my bacon tonight.
