Bigger and new map types

I have a good suggestion about new maps. Developers need to add bigger maps to Planet Zoo because the current maps are limited to a much too small truncated space which makes it hard for players to make zoos with large habitats. There are some species of animals which requires huge amounts of habitat space in order for those animal species to be happy with a good welfare.

I also suggest new types of maps with other environments which needs to be added to all game modes in Planet Zoo. New biomes and environments will make gameplay much for challenging and interesting for all Planet Zoo enthusiast players, so that would be the right decision to make for developers to make Planet Zoo move forward with technology as technology evolves. Below are some environments that I suggest implementing in future updates in Planet Zoo:

Volcanic maps:

Those volcanic maps would be maps with dormant volcanoes covered with black ash terrain. Players could transform a desolate volcano map into a lush green terraformed environment with zoos and animal species that would live in a dormant volcanic biome. This kind of map would bring a new exciting way to make zoos and habitats on a map covered in black ash. Players would have the freedom of creativity by terraforming a dormant volcano by both removing or adding terrain by using the terrain sculpting tools and also use the paint tools to add different types of soils and grass to such a map. I believe that volcanic maps would work very well and bring a new gameplay experience to players in Planet Zoo.

Ocean maps:

Ocean maps would also be another type of map that would bring a new gaming experience with new biomes and environment to Planet Zoo. An ocean map would work by loading a new map in any game mode by having a map completely covered by water. No land would surround the map. With such a water covered map, players would be able to reclaim land from the sea by using the pull terrain tool and other tools to modify existing terrain. Players would also be able to create their artificial island zoos by reclaiming land from such an ocean map.

Ocean maps can also be a perfect environment and biome for players who are planning on building zoos with aquatic creatures such as sharks and fish. Marine life would thrive perfectly well with an ocean map because such a map would already have the correct marine ecosystem for marine life to thrive in the right biome, temperature and environment. An ocean map will benefit players on making land by using terraforming techniques as well as adopting aquatic marine life.

In addition to marine environment maps, players will also need sea corals for the welfare of some species of fish which requires corals for their feeding and hiding purposes. These would be types of shelter and even sea food and enrichment for some species of fish, which would be available in the "habitat tab". Players in career mode would be required to research those types of fish food enrichment items, except corals, which would be equivalent to marine life shelters and normal fish food.

Swamp maps:

Swamp maps would be a temperate map type which would consist of both water and land, and of course, mud. Mud does not current exist as a terrain type, but it would be very useful and a brilliant idea for developers to add mud as well as swamp maps. Water lilies and animals that lives in swamps would thrive in swamp maps. Players would be able to use terrain tools and water tools to either add or edit terrain as well as add or remove water. Zoos built on swamp maps would have a biome of South of USA. That would consist of places like Missouri, Louisiana and Mississippi. Players would like this very much as well as all the other maps which I have discussed about on this thread.

Forest maps:

Such maps would challenge players by removing trees to make way for usable land which would then be used to build zoos. Planet Zoo does not have tools to cut trees down in a realistic manner, but at least players would like the challenge of completely transforming a forest map, fully covered in forest into a thriving zoos with multiple habitat species held in zoos on those kind of forested maps. I would like to have such a map in Planet Zoo.

Those are the four new types of maps that I would like developers to add in Planet Zoo for the next update. I also want those four maps to be bigger in size so that players can enjoy building zoos on them without the lack of space when building very large habitats to host and adopt animal species which requires a lot of living space for their own welfare good. If anyone reading this thread has more cool ideas on more types of maps and biomes to add, then please suggest that in the comments below. I would like to read good news above players ideas for new maps.

Bigger maps lead to less performance, and as people are already having issues with that I don't think increasing the map size is really an option.

More variation in maps is always welcome.

Developers would choose whether or not to increase map sizes. More variations in maps like new environments and biomes like I suggested above is a necessity if Planet Zoo is going to move forward with technology and bring new exciting challenges to players.

I agree with more diversity in map terrain.

I don't know if there's a huge need for bigger maps, but since you're requesting it the need is there for you, of course. But different types of maps and pre-terrained maps (that are not extreeeeeeeeeme like the South America Tropical one), would definitely be welcome.

I would like to build a huge zoo with all the animals in Planet Zoo. For that, I need maps which are big enough to have enough space for all the animals. I guess having maps which would be twice the size in width as the South America map would be more beneficial for players being able to successfully build bigger zoos. I am sure that developers are aware of the size limits for maps, but having bigger maps should not cause much of an impact of gaming performance if sizes are kept at an adequate size which puts a perfect balance between map size and gaming performance. Developers will decide for a perfect balance between maps size and simulation performance.

The terraforming tool does require a volcanic terrain type and an ice terrain type as well. Paint also needs volcanic and ice soil features as well.

the space is already much more than needed to put all animals in it (maybe 3 times even?), performance is the issue that prevents everybody to do so. can you show us pictures of your "problem"? (i guess not)

There are some maps that are too small, like the one in the scenario which is the small map on the island zoo. Maps with sizes that are twice as big as the South America map would be very welcoming for players.

Game can barely handle having a zoo with 30 animal species (dont know about sandbox, but in other modes you will need guests, which wont help either). You might be able to build a zoo with all the species, but I can guarantee you wont be able to actually play in it due to laggs. No matter if you have a NASA computer.

We will see what plans developers have for maps in the near future. My most important request is a volcanic map and an ocean map. That would bring something entirely new to Planet Zoo along with volcanic ash terrain and paint, plus ice in addition to snow.

I see where you're coming from with your request now. I (and most likely some others) were thinking you meant the standard maps we get, not the ones that are scenario based. Yes, some of those are small, by design, but I get what you're getting at too - if we want to remove items from the map, to have a blank map with just the terrain, some of them are small.
