Biggest Ship available ?

I play this game to roll in the biggest, most badass, Dealiest ship available. Ive looked at some of them and i found that the python and anaconda are the biggest ones along with the type 9 but its more of a cargo ship. I want a freaking star destroyer no matter how much it costs. Thoughts on this ?

If thats your thing, go nuts. The Python is awesome. The 'Conda is more of a prestige piece as I see it currently. Way too expensive for way too little benefit other than to show off that you have it.

You might be able to own a capital ship one day. The way things are going this game will have multi-billionaires by the summer - itching to spend that money on something :)

The biggest ship is either an Anoconda or a type-9 heavy

Anocondas-145mn are more expensive and are more for battle and war

Type-9 Heavy-76mn are for trading but have 5 hardpoints so they are kinda good!

If you want the biggest and most expensive ship, you want a Conda (so far anyway).

If you want a ship that can perform up to par with that ship but not deal with the astronomical prices, a Python.

How much is a Python, anyway?

Phyton hull is around 57mil.

Quickest way
Probably spend £50 on star citizen
Save up another £1000 and buy a capital ship
Yay you have won without even playing

Well... im looking forward to SC but i dont like the pay to win aspect of it. On the other hand, its a choice... Awsome game crowd funded or average game with in game credit stuff.

Also, i dont think that these kind of sanbox game really have a point where you can say that you won. There is no end game, just endless battles and stuff to do. So buying a ship in SC doesnt make you win right off the bat. Of course you will have an advantage over other players but the world is so big that there is always a challenge waiting for you next door.

Would budget on around 70m for D level components and A5 drive imo.

Dont forget the 8m for insurance, because if you spend all your credits buying it and outfitting it and then leave the station and crash into the Type 9 that magically appears taking up the entire letterbox and you can't afford the rebuy you're probably going to quit the game.

But you'll need to fit turrets to these as you'll never be able to turn the Type-9 fast enough to hit anything.

Also two of the hard-points are forward facing and so pretty useless.

Not useless if you stick 8 torpedo's on those two forward mounts. As you say, the rest of the hardpoints should be turrets

5 missile launchers is pretty funny too. You can get the enemy in front of you by crawfishing in reverse for the whole fight. At 2500cr per salvo you're basically throwing money at the bad guy to make him die or go away. Still fun :D

If youre at the point of outfitting your Type 9 for combat money probably stopped being an issue quite a while ago.
