Bindings wiped - Does this happen to you ?

I'm not sure of the cause, but this is the fourth time I've had all my custom bindings wiped when logging back in. Doesn't seem to be anything to replicate it as its appears completely random (unless it's a server side issue)

It's incredibly frustrating having to go through the entire config process again, it was a close "rage quit and have a cup of tea" moment lol

Anyone else getting this issue ?

Every time for me. All it takes is for me to unplug and plug back in my USB for my HOTAS, mildly annoying but not the end of the world.

Only had it happen during 2 game updates (patches). Other than that - nope. Not happening randomly like for you. Not sure what it could be.

EDIT: As mentioned above. Maybe some USB device you plugged in and out. I would ticket it with as much info as possible.

Have you changed any of your controllers - unplugged any or plugged in any new ones? Seems this has the effect of apparently wiping the bindings. However, if you return things to how they were the bindings will probably be restored. At least this has been my experience in the past.

This had happened to me a few times. That reminds me, I need to backup my config.

Best thing to do is copy your settings to somewhere safe and when it happens again, copy them back.

Right, so copy the settings file (after you make all requested changes), then file a copy elsewhere. Then, when the game inevitably wipes out your presets (and boy this sucks, because getting these just right is a such chore) you just paste the backed up copy back in the appropriate folder.

Right? I already have the locations for these folders and the name of the appropriate files.

Gawd I wish they would just fix this. Leave the presets that come with the game alone, but stop deep-sixing user designated key bindings the moment another USB set up comes in or what not.

Especially annoying for me, I use a wireless XBOX controller on my PC. Which means that the PC constantly reads the USB as unplugged until the bluetooth connection fires up (about a 3 second process). ANNOYING. And in such an otherwise masterful game!
