Awesome post.
I see, with a little help, you've already made massive strides. I've picked up gobs of information reading posts like these.
Soon, you'll be purposefully failing interdictions.
You sound far more patient than me as well, but I will warn: As you get better, and more comfortable, you will forget that you're playing with fire. Respect the docking bay areas and your surroundings. Part of it is because Oculus support for this game is down, and I am used to seeing all around me.. but part of it is I just got too comfortable zipping around. Needless to say, I crashed into one wall and one other ship, blowing myself up and losing my bank. Luckily I've had some valuable firepower to sell and build back up with... but I am far more careful flying around now. Forgetting to get docking permission can be deadly, also always check your wanted status. Sometimes you've accidentally shot first, or done something else that you didn't even know... and you can lose your bank that way as well.
