I took 2 pickup the black box missions and found the said black boxes in the appropriate systems after bringing them to the station I received no sign of mission complete. I wonder if these missions are bugged or I missed something.

Hi Cmdr StarHawkPrime,
When you picked up the black boxes (think back now), did they say "mission target"?
When they were in your hold, did they say Stolen? (Actually not sure this does this now).
The mission is looking for specific black boxes - given the number of griefers arounds, I'm sre you can understand there are a fair number of black boxes in every system .... for insurance reasons.
Whe going to the system:
1) Goto Nav point.
2) Scan the Nav point.
3) You will get an imbox message with the body where the black boses are.
4) travel to the body.
5) mill around a bit, and wait for a mission Signal Source to appear.
6) Enter mission signal source.
7) Retrieve black boxes without dying to pirates.
8) Return to mission giver and hand in mission.
9) Have beer and rejoice at a black box showing another inicent Morbius player dying at the hands of eveil griefers or overly aggressive NPC pirates.
Rinse and Repeat for Rep.

Funnily enough, unlike most missions, Black box salvage ones can't be exploited. If you take 2 in the same system you get two different USS sites to visit and have to collect the right number of black boxes at each.
I really wish they'd find away to remove the stacking exploits from the mission system rather than just limiting the number of each type you can take.
Ok, so you've actually got the right things but you can't hand it in? It could be a mission rewards thing. Check the mission description and see if there are any mission rewards. You may see them redded out so you may have to clear some cargo or inventory space to be able to accept it.
I found a video that showed me the correct procedure and found 1 proper box now this second one will not spawn after 20 minutes so I'll probly flush that one LOL. Thanks for the tips guys. Oh and I didn't realize I was a mission exploiter hehe the board offered 2 black box missions so I took them both.
