Black box mission

Apologies if this has been asked and answered a hundred times already.....

I've just taken a mission to retrieve a black box. I was directed towards a particular system, and when there I scanned the (compromised) nav beacon. I then got a mission update and one of the planets in the system had an icon next to it on the Nav menu. So I super cruised to the planet, but what next? The planet has two bases on it - do I need to go to one of those? Or could the black box be anywhere on the planet - if so, how do I find it?

Any help would be much appreciated!

No, it'll be in a USS which should quickly identify itself as being the mission one. Just cruise around the planet - you do need to be a bit closer than you'd expect and it should show up.
