Black Hand Update: The Klingon / Romulan Cloaking Device (or Angels only play in Solo/Private)

For reasons already mentioned, I don't think there is much purpose in trying to hold territory or forming allegiances that depend on any of the cannon powers.

It's almost better to prearrange the conflicts

Complete lunacy to anyone who values organic conflict or wants a strategic challenge as well as a tactical one...and unfortunately the only way they can usually work.

I'd like to show everybody what really happens when Angels and Black Hand meet in Open, but the naming&shaming policy prevents me from just dumping my videos in here. :)

If anyone wants to see, PM me and I'll reply with some links.

Make sure you include videos about you logging out any time I happen to be near you. Happened a few times now. And for the record, I suck at PvP in this game. Old man and the twitch reflexes aren't what they once were. ;)

Yes, I do agree that all modes should be valid ways to play, just seems a tad unfair with our current situation. I like your suggestion but the hostilities between us are such that we apparently have the whole AD player base against us, that would be a lot of friends! lol

The problem is that it forces one to play the game in a way we wouldn't really enjoy. Exploiting exploits and the like, etc., etc.

But I will reiterate, when we started, there was no problem in instancing and meeting them. And we have no problems instancing and meeting others when fighting elsewhere.

This post was done as a last ditch forlorn hope that some of them might creep into open occasionally. We are more than happy to lose the war in open rather than win in Solo/Private.

Thinking out loud: Maybe they've used the Block feature.

It's possible. However newer unannounced members (such as myself) don't see them either. They likely wouldn't know to block me prior to this thread (and my CMDR differs from my forum name). Odds are slim that this is what is happening.

Another "PM me" massage  we both know that you and a few of your leaders are the only one brave enough to face us and that always worked well.
But attacking random cmdrs somewhere random and claiming that are BH cmdrs 'cause they logged is just not true.
I have video evidence of several cmdrs logging on me, last one was made today ;)

But that's going off-topic.
Thread is about the fact, that some actions can't be countered if done in private and people can't be stopped doing that. But maybe we should pay back with same weapon? How would that feel? :D

Thinking out loud: Maybe they've used the Block feature.

Also possible, this blocking feature allows private in open [wacko] but for that we have other threads :D

We reap what we sow, players seethe at the mention of Open.

However, if two or more factions wish to duke it out, ti should be no holds barred unless you prearrange conditions.

It should be if you come into our systems, catch us if you can and vice-versa, bottoms kicked all-around.

The biggest problem is that the advantage goes to the aggressor, the aggressor knows where/when/how the attack is going, the defenders, unless they have intel, won't respond in time. Then there is instancing which can play havoc, so it's hide and seek.

It's almost better to prearrange the conflicts to ensure that both sides are on the same stage, otherwise it's bumbling around in the dark, catch one here, get caught there. Random encounters of destruction w/ one-party consent is what causes the vitriol to flow, here the OP is lamenting the lack of conflict even between two warring parties.

Everyone that is interested in PvP wars between factions/wings should maybe start evolving towards a more intelligent/planned way to play, leaders of the groups should have diplomatic channels set up for comms in peace and war, use them to stage conflicts, wing A wants system B, wings C says not so fast, then both sides decide to do patrols-in-strength in the contested system and escalates/de-escalates from there, then it's winner takes the system or a peace is negotiated.

Just sayin'...

This would require respect and fair play. That's not the case here. This "war" is all just about as many dämätsch as possible against every imperial minor faction. We're not the only one affected.
AD BGS troopers and AA's wanna reduce fortification triggers of systems they'll never fortify anyway. With this intention they overshoot by far with wiping out all imperial minor factions in and around AD space.
That's the reason why we call them Traitor of the Empire. Establishing a federal/independent superpower with the mask of an imperial emblem

Yes, this is the most boring war i've ever seen
I have seen one of the Top 5 Bounty cmdrs in our systems ONCE in open and as soon as i've interdicted him, he maybe realised his mistake and has pulled the Plug. The Aisling's Angels and AD-BGS troopers were well known for frequent combat logging but know they hide permanently in Solo/Private group.
I wish Frontier maybe realises at a certain Point, that Solo/PG players should not be allowed to have any influence on BGS or Powerplay overall! They are massacring our police and we can just watch and do nothing. There is just no way to prevent this actions.

Sunday morning, a beautiful sunshine but yet our cities burn. Even that the sky is clear and nobody can be seen, our cities get hit by fallign bombs. Just imagine how WW2 would have looked this way :D
Most of us don't even bother anymore what they are doing. There is no point in fighting ghosts. These 2 groups claim to fly most time in open, yet you can sit the complete weekend in Chona or Zhao without meeting someone ever! Yet the traffic shows around 1500 ships per 24h. Shameful!

Appeal at Frontier Devs: sort this finally out and please set every influence changes done in private to 0% If someone wants to fight us, he should fight us!

What a bunch of !

All the folks on my friends list are pledged to AD, and every time I log into the game all but one or two are playing in OPEN. The few that are not in OPEN are in our AD Private Group. The ratio is always like that with the majority of AD commanders playing in OPEN. It has been this way for as long as I can remember.

You will have to find some other excuse to account for your inept abilities at dealing with us! ;)

I have video evidence of you failing to beat me in a 2v1, and combat logging out of a 2v1 against me before you even lost shields.

I have video of a wing of Black Hand allies failing to bring down my shields in a 4v1, while I did bring down the shields on one of their ships, and then low-waked to orbital cruise to call for backup. In supercruise, another 2 hostile ships showed up. I reloaded and then returned to the system in a wing with only 1 other CMDR, knowing we could be going into a 2v6. We engaged Black Hand allies 2v3 and again the Hand's stooges were the first to retreat, even though they had the help of NPC system authority.

They still think they can compete with us PVP. I don't know what's feeding this delusion, but we got mostly bored with their PVP and have been focusing on the BGS competition recently. Not that they do a very good job of that either, but the point of all this is that they get cocky and start being an inconvenience if we leave them alone. They expand out of control (they've even claimed they're unable to control their own expansions), make up complaints to pick fights, and attack our CMDRs. We are removing them from control of every system they previously held. They're down to 2, and those will be taken from them shortly.

We offered them a ceasefire deal months ago that would have left them in control of many systems and out of our way, if they took the deal and kept their word. They never responded. ::feelsbadman::

We have no issue with 'naming and shaming' and will not complain to this forum if you do so. In fact, the Black Hand would fight for your right to do so. If it is really against the rules here, feel free to use reddit and maybe crosslink if that is allowed. Sorry, I am pretty useless at all this forum stuff...... :)

the issue with 'name and shame lists' is that they are ALWAYS abused. someone with an unwarranted grudge, or just a griefer realising its another way to do what they do to ruin other players fun, ALWAYS adds names on the list which do not belong there - so a combat logger list will include people who killed someone who thought they were easy prey and was added as revenge by proxy, and people whos only 'crime' was to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and claimed the bounty on the name posters head, plus some people on there because they escaped someone interdicting them rather than throttle down and submit their unarmed explorer ship to be destroyed and lose months of data. you cannot police the lists unless the people doing the vetting of names are present at EVERY SINGLE ALLEDGED INCIDENT. and this is why name and shame should not be even LINKED to from here.

the mere fact i have set out these facts means someone will probably add me on one list or another - despite the fact i CANNOT combat log/grief/whatever to the person putting me there since i never play in open, and will never have been instanced with them.

Anyone else think it is time for a new forum? one just for PvP rooster measuring contests. This is tiresome. Both sides just sound like a bunch of 1st graders. "You suck!" "No, you do!" "Mods, they called me names!!!" "You're dumb!!" "I'm rubber and you're glue!"

SHUT THE [REDACTED] UP!!!

No one besides you guys care. And the best part? Its a video game! Taking this way too seriously.
