Black Hole Light Distortion of Mainstars?

tonight i did a very short trip out (because after some pve piracy i really felt like i need to), to Hip 63835.

that's an O-star with a black hole close to the bubble.

both - main-star and bh - are very close to each other.

i was a bit surprised, that there was no light distortion of the main star, hanging massively behind the BH.

is there ae scientific reason for it, or "just a problem of [insert lightning mechanics of the game here]"?

Black hole effects only apply to the sky box. 'Twas always thus. It's graphics engine not science at play.

thanks. suspected something like that. was the first time, i was at a BH a) so close to the main star and b) not in a nebula.

well, well!
