Black holes should kill you if you fly into them

They should be dangerous. Right now they just pull you out of supercruise and then heat your ship up. That's just disappointing. I've already posted about this in the general discussion and it sparked a 9 page discussion on the subject; however, I want to be sure that this suggestion is put into the proper place for the developers to notice it, which seems to be here in the suggestions subforum. Here's the original thread, where many players have shown support for this: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/black-holes-should-kill-you-if-you-fly-into-them.566355/

Here's a video of what happens when a star gets too close to a black hole:

There are, of course, problems with this proposal.

First, is aesthetic. FD went to considerable trouble to create the "lensing effect" that Black Holes and neutron stars generate. The problem is, to get close enough to a black hole to see this lensing, is generally lethal distance.

Second, is pragmatic. the graphics engine simply isn't capable of the super-huge accelerations a ship close to a black hole is subjected to. Nor is the game currently programmed to "put a ship into orbit" around anything, which is what would be necessary to remain anywhere near a black hole.

Lets just assume distance from black hole where FSD drive stops working is where space fabric distortion coming from black hole is beyond safety limit for FSD drive, therefore for safety reasons it is turned off until target is aligned to escape vector projected by onboard computer. As for issue of putting ship into orbit of anything I find it quite correct: ship drive is not reaction based drive only but is augmented by FSD ability to bend space.
There are other things like entering neutron star matter jet to charge FSD that are a bit unrealistic (if we can talk about realism in game) so lets just assume technology is good enough for ship and pilot to survive it :)
