Black holes

As they are I gotta admit they're pretty boring :( I looked forward to the first black hole i found and when i got there i wasnt very impressed. Later I found one directly next to a star and not only was it NOT pulling anything off the neighboring star, but apparently the distortion effect doesnt work with in system objects. I could see right through the black hole to the star on the other side, you could even tell it was there.

Here I'll post a pic. http://i.imgur.com/KbzTbAr.png

Notice how I'm literally right next to the black hole, which is in between my ship and the blue/white star...

Frontier I hope you guys have plans for more dramatic black holes! If they had as much love put into them as the stars in this game I probably wouldn't be writing this ;)

TLDR: Black holes are meh.

Agreed... But to be honest there needs to be loads more to stumble across while exploring IMHO. It's all a bit too safe and predicatable at the moment so we need a good dose of variety thrown into exploration to actually make it more interesting - https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=95448&p=1486954

They clearly need to look like this ...

That brighty-shiny thing only works if there's an accretion disc around the bh. And post the real image from the movie, you pleb!

But there are videos, like this where the gravitational distortion is visible against the background.

Those pics would be a huge improvement yes!

Or even like these:

If they improved on black holes to make them look at least that cool I would gladly be like:
