Traditionally the black market's of our world are places where we can buy hard to get for whatever reason... legitimacy, rarity etc. We dont have that in Elite Dangerous, what we have is a place we can steal stuff and sell for half the price.... admittedly pure profit(was stolen after all) but the title above the office says black market not FENCE.
Thought to myself wouldnt it be lovely if(especially with the engineers and they're normal{per module generation} requirements been sometimes hard to come by requiring lots of grind.... normally i dont mind a reason to go shoot something especially if it means getting something even better from the wreckage they leave behind but i thought because of the random nature of the drops that the black market would be a good place to look for such rarities like it would be in the real world.... ED isnt a game per se but a simulation after all, we are always complaining of the break in immersion because of the background simulation detracting from what might be termed common sense of human existence... all through time, there were always dodgy procurers of rarites witha arather visible presence for ease of customer access/availabity..
Anyway before i bore every one to death tought i'd run a survey
All ye who think we should be able to buy odites and rarites from the black market(probably at a premium but available nevertheless) say aye.
