Black screen after working flawlessly

Hey, so... my rift was working just fine, now I can hear oculus home sound and such but the display simply wont turn on.

I've tried reinstalling and like unplugging everything but essentials from my PC (i have 4 other devices in my GPU + rift and 9 other USB devices) but no luck ... currently after reinstall of oculus app I cant even finish the setup guide as it requires me continuing in the rift.

The only thing I've changed before it stopped working was connecting one extra screen, so obviously first thing was to try to unplug it and try again .. but no matter what i've tried and google around, so far no good.

Any tips perhaps from you more experienced ones? I have actually more hours in DK2 than in consumer version ... so I was surprised that I have to download whole oculus app and it has pesky 5 GB instead of handy and straight to the point SDK sw.

Replugged everything now, did clean driver reinstall and downloading oculus app.. lets hope.

Plan B is to roll back to 388.31 drivers and plan C is to roll to 388.59 drivers, which are drivers others reported to work for them. :x

I've made it work. I had 3 1080p monitors, 1 1080p TV and OR all connected to my GTX 980Ti, let's hope this might help someone.

First I should point out I'm on standard Oculus app version (no beta) and nvidia drivers 398.11

Monitor 1: HDMI > DP (cable)
Monitor 2: HDMI > DP (cable)
Monitor 3: HDMI > DP (adapter)
TV : HDMI > DVI
OR: HDMI directly

When I plugged out DVI device, in this case TV, OR suddenly worked.
When it originally stopped working for me, it was when I added Monitor 3 with HDMI>DP adapter, so my first choice was to plugged it out but with no difference.
Now, I've tried just one monitor and OR and it worked and I've adding more and more monitors and eventually, it stopped working when I've added 5th device to my GPU, which was DVI cable for my TV.
So my very amateur conclusion now is ... that my GPU with current drivers cannot support 5 devices, or ... HDMI and DVI devices are in some conflict.

Now I of course hope, it will stay this way, but I also kind of know it might not... so untill then ... o7

Yeah there are some outputs at least one of the dvd's on the 980ti or newer that override other ports, check the included manual for your card since this changes a bit amongst brands and models.

Didn't look hard at this since I now only have the one monitor and life is better than running four screens.

But from what I remember if you even plug a screen at all with any power on it into the dvi the HDMI port deactivate on a hardware level.
