Black Screen Bug!!

So I just spent 30 minutes trying to find another void opel core and finally found one, and right as I am mining it with my limpets my blaster stops working then the top of my screen turns black and half of my in ship screens start turning black as well. Me being new thinking I can just relog and be where I am again I relog and end up somewhere completely else with my limpets gone and the astroid gone, with a pirate right next to me.
Is there something I am missing, like is this even worth it when stuff like that happens I know modules can malfunction based off of what people have said in 0 degrees but even if night vision bugs out the windshield in in ship monitors arnt supposed to turn black with black shards. Needless to say I lost about 12 void opels. I am not happy.

It just happened again after a few minutes here. This time I have screen shots, the spot turns black then surrounds my entire screen.

Now it changes colors, no other game does this and when I go back to the main menu it is fine. Anyone else having this issue?

my guess is its gpu driver related or a pipeline malfunction in the gpu itself
I would check my drivers are current or if running an old gpu card try rolling back a driver version or even two
and last run a furmark burn test https://geeks3d.com/furmark/ to see if things look blank or out of place there too
try default hud colours too(if edited) that's also a prime suspect

The last time I saw something like that my 8800GT was 2 days from complete failure. :(

Make sure your all your fans are working. (CPU-GPU-PSU). Overheating can cause
similar issues. Clean out the dust from your PC you haven't done so lately.
X.

I never figured out what it was, but it happened even after updating gpu drivers, and rebooting. It's simply a bug in the night vision when in the icy split asteroids collecting void opels. The icy fog bugs sometimes when mixing with the night vision. So I just turn away and turn off night vision before it consumes my screen and I stop it from happening. This might be fixed today though. It also only happens when there is no star light.
